Come Visit Kiley Ranch at Earth Day!

On Sunday, April 20th Kiley Ranch will be participating in the annual Reno Earth Day Celebration in Idlewild Park. We are very excited to participate in such an important and well attended event and to share information about what makes Kiley Ranch a truly great place to live, work and play! Come see us in the California building and pick up your free Earth Day gift! Be sure to come early as supplies are limited.

Easter is coming to Kiley Ranch!

On Saturday March 22nd, Kiley Ranch will celebrate its first ever children’s Easter Egg Hunt at the Welcome Center, located at 1000 Kiley Pkwy in Sparks! There will be two separate hunts divided by age group: six thru ten yr olds are scheduled for 10:00 am and children 5 & under are scheduled for 11:00 am. Bring the little ones and their baskets. The Easter Bunny will be on hand from 10:00 am to noon, and there will be face painting as well, so don’t forget your cameras!

In addition, there will be prizes awarded for the Kiley Ranch Easter Coloring Contest. Click on the link below for the picture, print it out, and bring the finished product into the Kiley Ranch Welcome Center between now and March 22nd for a chance to win great prizes! There will be one winner in each of four categories: 4 & under, 5 & 6 yr olds; 7 &8 yr olds; and 9 & 10 yr olds.

Kiley Ranch Featured in Photo Fandango II

The Artist’s Co-op of Reno is presenting Photo Fandango II during the month of March 2008. Megan Kiley has been invited as a guest photographer and will be displaying photos of the Kiley Ranch Wetland Area. This display will feature many accomplished photographers such as Jack Hursh, Marilyn Newton, Jerry Fenwick, Mark Vollmer, and many more! The exhibit will run throughout the entire month of March and the opening reception will be held on Sunday, March 2nd. Everyone is welcome! Stop in to see some great local pieces and meet the talent behind the camera. The Artist Co-op is located at 627 Mill St in Reno.
Love Your Heart Day

In celebration of Heart Month, Kiley Ranch will be holding Love Your Heart Day on February 23rd from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Kiley Ranch Welcome Center. Representatives from the American Heart Association will be on hand to discuss heart health as well as fitness professionals from 24 Hour Fitness and experts on nutrition. We will also be serving heart healthy snacks and refreshments. In addition to the educational opportunities inside the Welcome Center, United Blood Services will be on hand in the parking lot collecting blood donations. Each blood donor will be entered in United Blood Services’ monthly drawing for a $250 Visa gift card! Megan Kiley Named Sparks Chamber Member of the Year

On January 22nd, The Sparks Chamber of Commerce held its’ 27th Annual Community Recognition Dinner inside the John Ascuaga’s Nugget Rose Ballroom. Megan Kiley, community relations for Kiley Ranch Communities was selected amongst 12 other nominees to receive the esteemed award of Sparks Chamber Member of the Year for 2007. Incoming chamber president Pete Copeland spoke with high regard about Megan stating that her passion and enthusiasm for the community and extensive involvement with the Sparks Chamber were among the many reasons she was chosen. Celebrate “Go Red” For Your Heart

I know it’s hard to believe that February is just a few days away, but Friday is February 1st and also National “Go Red” Day For Women. Go Red is a national movement by the American Heart Association to raise awareness about the number 1 killer of women - Heart Disease. So get out your red on Friday and support a great cause! Not only is “Go Red” Day on February 1st, but all of February is dedicated to heart health as well. Heart Month just so happens to coincide with that holiday of the heart that we all “heart” so much…Valentines Day! So do something for yourself and the one you love by learning how to be more heart healthy. Kiley Ranch will be holding a “Love Your Heart” day on February 23rd from 10:00 to 2:00. Festivities will include a United Blood Services Blood Drive as well as experts on such areas as fitness, nutrition, and health. Believe it or not it is already January 7th, 2008! The New Year is well underway and here at Kiley Ranch we intend to make it a memorable one. That means more opportunities for you to get out in your own communtiy and enjoy all that it has to offer. For instance, we are working on bringing a weekly farmers’ market to Kiley Ranch, as well as several exciting monthly events. Be sure to stop by the welcome center and check back here often to see what’s coming up. We welcome any suggestions you may have as well!

Thank you to everyone who came out to see us on Saturday for our Holiday Gala! We were able to gather a generous amount of food for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, and the artwork on display from Artouring and the Artist’s Co-op was enjoyed by all. If you weren’t able to make it out, we will be accepting food and cash donations for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada through Friday, December 14th. Also, artwork will be on display through the end of December. Be sure to come check it out! Original art from our talented local artists will make great holiday gifts for your loved ones. The Kiley Ranch Welcome Center is open 10:00-5:00 Wednesday thru Sunday.

Even if you can’t make it out to join us on Saturday, December 8th, be sure to stop in the Kiley Ranch Welcome Center Wednesday thru Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm throughout the entire month of December and check out the lovely art on display. You will have the opportunity to view wonderful pieces from the local artist’s of Artouring and the Artist’s Co-op, and if something strikes your fancy, you will even have the option to purchase the piece.
Artouring gives members of the public the opportunity to visit local artist’s studios and get a behind-the-scenes look at their craft. Participants can ask artists about their techniques and inspiration and get a detailed look at how beautiful pieces are created. The Reno Artist’s Co-op is a group of local artists who specialize in many different mediums. You can see their pieces displayed at many different venues throughout the area including the Artist’s Co-op at 627 Mill St. For more information, please call 775-322-8896.
